My piece ‘Secret Garden’ is about how I feel when I’m out in my garden.
Previously I was too anxious to be out in my own garden because I was too anxious about being seen by other people, but now I feel privacy and able to, as the flowers, bushes and trees somewhat hide me from view. It’s a place where I can continue my recovery from being housebound which began in 2018.
I enjoy the sounds and views of nature and feel like I’m off the grid, with barely anyone around me.
