Join me for a creative and hands-on full-day workshop exploring the art of Botanical Collage with a Gelli Plate. This uplifting session blends mixed media, printmaking, abstract painting, and mark making to help you discover the playful and expressive possibilities of creating with a Gelli Plate. Throughout the day, we’ll get to know the Gelli Plate as we experiment with botanical themes — printing leaves, textures, and organic patterns to create a beautiful range of collage papers. We’ll then add layers of paint and mixed media to build a finished botanical collage on canvas that’s full of colour, texture, and personality. This workshop offers an inspiring insight to one of the many ways you can use a Gelli Plate in your creative practice. Please note that participants will need to bring their own materials: Here is the materials list you will need to bring: Gelli plate (I have 2 A4 and a small plate you can reserve - please contact me to reserve) Acrylic paints and any other Media of your choosing Flowers, leaves etc (real/faux) Newsprint + found papers (envelopes, maps etc) Scrap paper Scissors Canvas/canvas panel (medium size of your choosing) Pencil + rubber Mod Podge and pot Paintbrushes (including brushes for glue) Hairdryer Water pots Palette Roller & brayer or wooden spoon Botanical stencils and any other mark making materials (small pieces of cardboard cling film, kitchen roll, bubble wrap etc) Pressed flowers (optional) Table cover Photo/ reference photos to use Lunch can be purchased from the White Lion Menu.
